Acquiring the Balance

Juggling It All

BALANCE-an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a whirlwind. Most likely 85% percent of the time we are so busy caught up in the whirlwind of life that we neglect one aspect or another. Think about it. How many of you  work extremely hard to provide for yourselves or your children, but neglect to take care of yourselves? What about those who are very physically fit and put together, but seem to still miss something spiritually that disables you from feeling inside how you may look on the outside? It may seem like sometimes you’re living on a balancing scale. Trying not to let the weight of parenthood, or school, or work tip you over. Then let us not forget of our spiritual growth and needs within. Whether it’ s prayer, meditation, attending bible classes, or volunteering through ministries throughout your local church there always seems to be something to do. So how do we balance it all out?

Without balance we can quickly get overwhelmed with the challenges of day to day life. I think the two categories that seem to help the balance of everything else flow fluidly are our spiritual health first, and then our physical health. Getting those two areas in life at their highest potential has significantly helped me tackle other day to day duties. With renewed spirit and physical health we can muster up the energy for that extra hour of homework help with the kids that night. We can also find the mental stability to tackle that unexpected expense that threw a curve ball in our budget. Also when you feel better inside you can find the glow in every part of you. Not only will it show on the outside, it will also show in how you treat those around you. Self love is more often than not projected onto everyone we come in contact with. We cannot however confuse self love with vanity.

Vanity will have you believe that you are above those around you because of how you look or what you may have. Self Love, however, is an inner light that illuminates and allows you to see that we all need each other. When I help someone else, I am helping myself. If one person believes in their self and does not give up because they see me doing so, then we have all won. Because just as that person watched me there is someone watching them. Then we have an unstoppable flow of positivity from one person to the next. This cannot be achieved, however, without balance. This blog will be dedicated to achieving that balance. From meal plans to bible study schedules. There is a happiness and peace of mind that is completely free. Let’s seize it.
